CHILDREN from six schools are rehearsing for a stage show later this month.

Pupils from five primary schools in the Chester-le-Street area will join older pupils from Park View School in staging a production of The King With Cold Feet, written by Alan Simmons.

Year Five pupils from Bournmoor Primary, Lumley Juniors, Woodlea Primary, Red Rose Primary, and Dubmire Primary will join performing arts students from Park View for the shows.

There will be approximately 180 pupils on stage at each of the two performances, which take place on Tuesday, June 30 and Wednesday, July 1 at 6.30pm at Park View’s Church Chare theatre site.

Sue Moore, Head of Performing Arts at Park View, said: “The students are working really hard on the performance and are rehearsing with great enthusiasm. The production promises to be an enjoyable and entertaining evening for all involved, both participants and audience.”

Tickets, priced £4 for adults and £3 for concessions including OAPs and children, are available from each of the primary schools as well as at Park View School’s Finance Office.
