RIFLE STOLEN: Police are appealing for witnesses after an air rifle was stolen from a garage behind Victoria Terrace, in High Handenhold, near Chester-le-Street. The .22 snap lock air rifle was taken at some point between 11.30pm on Tuesday (June 11) and 6.30am the following day. Anyone with information is asked to call Durham Police on 101.
EVENING WALK: Durham Ramblers are to hold a four-mile evening walk around Castle Eden Dene on Monday, June 24. The walks starts at 6pm from Castle Eden village church.
