A TEENAGER who was scouted during a fashion show is representing the region in a national beauty pageant.
Beth Rutledge, 14, from Gateshead, is in the semi-finals of the Miss Teen Princess UK competition after she was spotted at the Clothes Show Live event.
She was invited to London for a photoshoot with her mother, Susan, and hopes to reach the live finals in London in September, if she receives enough votes.

Beth, who goes to Thomas More School, in Blaydon, said: “I am really pleased to get this far, but with more votes I could get to the final. I am pleased to carry the flag for Tyne and Wear.”
The winner’s prize includes a week-long trip to Ghana to carry out charity work at a village school in the Volta region.
