NEARLY 400 people have enjoyed a free Christmas family fun day.
Emmanuel Church Durham held its third annual Christmas event at The Durham Centre, its home on Belmont Industrial Estate, in Durham City, on Saturday, December 10.
Activities included biscuit decorating, craft stalls, big-screen computer games, a rodeo reindeer, bouncy castle and Santa’s Grotto.
Councillor Les Thomson, the Mayor of Durham, visited the event, saying the Santa’s Grotto was one of the best he had ever seen.
The church is hosting a Christmas service with Aycliffe and Brancepeth brass band at The Durham Centre on Sunday, December 18, at 5pm. Entry is free and all are welcome.
