A NEW beauty salon has opened to the public in a former care home-turned hotel.

Beauty Training North East has been running courses in the Hotel 52, previously known as Stanfield House, in Stanley, for five months.

A new salon offering a range of treatments for the public was opened on Thursday.

Beauticians will offer innovative exfoliation treatment, such as dermaplaning, a technique which involves removing the top layer of damaged skin, along with specialist treatments like mesotherapy and microneedling as well as more standard procedures such as lash lifts, lash extensions, waxing and facials.

Owner Louise Forrest said: “This really isn’t your average beauty salon and I’m sure visitors will be impressed with the range of treatments and the expertise that we offer.

“Beauty Training North East has seen people travelling from all over the UK to learn the latest techniques of the trade.

“It seemed like the perfect opportunity to harness this knowledge to create an exclusive one of a kind salon.”
