A SUMMER arts festival headed outside for an afternoon of music, performances and other activities.
The event at Palace Green, in Durham, was organised as part of a three week celebration of the arts.
Families and students from Durham University enjoyed a series of performances from bands, barbershops choirs and cheerleaders during Art on the Green.
Among those taking part were Durham University Concert Band and Durham Divas.
Durham Festival of the Arts is taking place throughout June and is organised by Music Durham and Durham Student Theatre and features dozens of events, including music, opera, theatre, comedy and workshops.
The festival continues until June 25.
