TODDLERS raised thousands of pounds for a children’s charity after taking part in a sponsored walk.
Children in Chester-le-Street raised £3,211.96 for Barnardo’s during last summer’s animal-themed Big Toddle.
Youngsters dressed up as animals such as tigers and giraffes and took part in a half-mile walk to raise money for vulnerable children.
Nurseries and parents are now being asked to sign up for this year’s Big Toddle event, which takes place from June 19 to 25 on a theme of colours.
The Big Toddle marks its 20th anniversary this year and is teaming up with children’s TV show Teletubbies, which is also celebrating its 20th birthday.
