COUPLES planning their wedding can have a look around Durham's register office at an open day on Sunday.
Durham County Council is opening its registration service venue at Aykley Heads between 11am and 3pm on Sunday, April 2, to allow couples to look around. There will also be a selection of local suppliers of cakes, cars, flowers and wedding dresses.
Wendy Addison-Smyth, the council's ceremony coordination team leader, said: “The open day is a perfect opportunity for couples to visit us, have a look around and book their wedding, as well as offering the chance to meet suppliers and plan aspects of their big day.”
