POLICE are warning against the dangers of taking medication not prescribed to them after prescription drugs were stolen in Gateshead.
Police received a report that a handbag containing a number of drugs and medicine had been stolen at the Team Valley fair on Wednesday morning, February 22.
The bag contained Methodone, Pregablin and Mertazapin.
Enquiries are ongoing to locate the drugs and officers are warning people of the dangers of taking medication which has not been prescribed to them.
Anyone with any information of the whereabouts of the stolen medication is asked to contact us straight away on 101, quoting reference number 291 of 22/02/17.
