A MAN is fighting for his life after his car collided with a stone wall.
The incident happened on Ebchester Bank, near to The Derwent Walk, at Ebchester, Consett, County Durham, just after 7.30pm on Sunday.
A Ford Fusion collided with a stone wall and the driver, a 33-year-old man, who lives in the area, was airlifted to the RVI in Newcastle with head injuries where he remains in a critical condition.
His passenger, a 33 year-old woman from Consett, was also taken to the RVI with an arm injury.
Any witnesses to the collision are asked to call the collision investigation unit at Durham Constabulary on 101, ext 752 159.
