A GINGERBREAD model of Durham Cathedral is wowing shoppers in the city.
Jenny Anderson baked the metre-long delicacy to display in the window at Tealicious, on Elvet Bridge, where she is the assistant manager.
Already many customers and passers-by have stopped to take photographs of the creation.
Visitors are invited to guess how many sweets are on the top of the model, to raise money for the British Heart Foundation and the Great North Air Ambulance.
The person whose guess is the closest will win afternoon tea for two at Tealicious.
The piece took about five days to make and will be in the shop window until after Christmas.
Its creator said: “It’s nice to see people smiling as they walk past the window and if we can make some money for charity, that’s great.”
