A MEMORY tree displaying moving tributes to lost loved ones has been set up at a garden centre.
Poplar Tree Garden Centre, in Shincliffe, near Durham, is asking for donations to St Cuthbert’s Hospice in return for hanging a message on the tree.
The hospice will also have a stall at the centre’s Merry Christmas Fair this weekend (November 28-29).
Caroline Walker, from the centre, said: “There has been a fantastic response to the memory tree so far and hopefully visitors to the fair will also support the appeal.”
Kay Carrick, from the hospice, said: “We’re so grateful for Poplar Tree Garden Centre’s support. The memory tree is a lovely way for people to remember loved ones who have passed away.”
The fair runs on Saturday and Sunday, from 11am to 5pm. Entry is £2.50 for adults and free for children.
