JOE McElderry is doing a hometown gig this weekend (Sunday, August 2).
The X Factor winner will perform at South Tyneside Festival 2015 in Bents Park, South Shields on Sunday.
He will be joined by fellow X Factor star Lola Saunders, who is from nearby East Boldon, and Britain’s Got Talent Collabro, featuring Gateshead’s Jamie Lambert.
Gates open at 1pm and visitors are advised to arrive early.
Joe McElderry will perform at about 3.15pm.
Councillor Alan Kerr, deputy leader of South Tyneside Council, said: “We expect that our North East Stars concert will once again get people turning out in their thousands to give our talented singers the welcome home they truly deserve.”
