A NURSE who shed ten stones in weight has run her first marathon in aid of a medical charity.
Vicki McLean had a gastric bypass in 2013 and took up running to get fit. She completed last Sunday’s (April 26) London Marathon in six hours, five minutes and seven seconds.
The 37-year-old accident and emergency department sister, from Bowburn, County Durham, was raising money for St John Ambulance.
She has already raised £1,000 and hopes to top £1,800.
