A MAN was threatened with a knife in a burglary at his home.

At just after 9am on Saturday, October 18, police received a report that two men had knocked on the door of a house at Lynthorpe in Sunderland, and when the occupant answered they forced their way into the house.

One of the men threatened the occupant, a man in his late 20s, with a knife and the pair made off with some property.

The victim suffered a minor injury and was left shaken following the incident.

The two men are described as white, both 6ft tall and of medium build, and aged about 29 or 30.

One was wearing dark jeans and a navy hooded top, and had a blue scarf covering his mouth and nose.

The other was wearing blue jogging bottoms and a blue tracksuit top.
