CUT ABOVE: Annette Embleton gets her hair shaved for charity
TEA TOTAL: Staff and residents at two Consett care homes raised £680 for charity. Redwell Hills and Abigail Lodge care homes raised the money for Macmillan Cancer Support during the charity’s annual coffee morning campaign. During the campaign, Redwell Hills care assistant Annette Embleton raised more than £500 for the cause by having her hair shaved off.
SPONSORED WALK: A sponsored walk, in aid of Willow Burn Hospice takes place on Sunday. The walk sets off from The Three Horse Shoes at Maiden Law at 2pm and registration is £10 for an individual or £20 for a family. Email cbooth@willowburnhospice.org.uk for further information.
