WORTHWHILE causes stand to benefit from a charity raffle in honour of the Queen’s Jubilee.
Newton Aycliffe Rotary Club is organising the town wide event and are encouraging schools and voluntary organisations that sell tickets to keep 75 per cent of the receipts.
In addition the club is appealing for individuals and businesses to donate 60 high quality prizes to the raffle which last year raised more than £8,000.
President of the club Alan Crawshaw said: "This is the Rotary Club’s effort to help the funds of town organisations, schools and charities - we hope they see the value of participating in the draw."
The draw will be held at the Royal British Legion on Tuesday, June 5, and those take part can sell tickets to raise money for their own organisations or a charity of their choice.
