CARE home staff and residents have released balloons to mark Dignity in Care Day.
Residents of Nunthorpe Oaks Care Home, in Middlesbrough, were treated to a pamper morning followed by entertainment and a cream tea to promote the event.
They were joined by Councillor Brenda Thompson and regional manager Sharon Gatus, a past winner of Middlesbrough Council's Dignity award.
Jenny Stubbs, home manager, said that Nunthorpe Oaks followed the ten-point dignity challenge, which includes zero tolerance of all forms of abuse, respecting people's right to privacy and helping to boost residents' confidence and self esteem.
