A HANDS-ON exhibition exploring the mysteries of electricity has certainly got the shock factor.
Shocking Electricity is packed with weird and wonderful interactive experiments for scientists of all ages - from making an explosion using only water to the magic of plasma globes and the challenge of touching an electric fence.
Joanne Cole, education officer in Hartlepool Borough Council's cultural services team, said: "The exhibition tells the story of how people have experimented with electricity over the years.
"The exhibition is a fascinating journey through the history of electricity, but above all, it's lots of fun, with great experiments for people to try."
The exhibition is in the Museum of Hartlepool, at Hartlepool's Maritime Experience, until Sunday, April 22, and entry is free.
The museum is open every day, from 11am to 4pm, up to and including March 31, and then from 10am to 5pm. For more information, visit whats happeninghartlepool.com
