A SPECIAL awareness day for people with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) will be held next week.
The event, for MS sufferers in Durham, Chester-le-Street and Derwentside, will be held at The Gates shopping centre, off Framwelgate Bridge, in Durham City, on Thursday, February 23, from 10am to 3pm.
There will be information and free publications available.
The event is being organised by the Durham and District branch of the MS Society.
Branch chairman Alistair Crisp said: "We want to raise the profile of our branch to tell people with MS about the support services on offer locally, with the aim of helping both carers and sufferers of this incurable neurological illness to enjoy a better quality of life."
