A PUB is to give children the chance to win panto tickets in a colouring competition.

The Head of Steam, just off North Road, in Durham City, is asking children to colour in pictures of their favourite Dick Whittington characters to win tickets for a family of four to see the pantomime at the Gala Theatre.

Colouring sheets are available from the pub and must be returned by Wednesday, December 9 and two winners will be presented with their prizes by members of the cast on December 12.

Pub manager Jemma Watson said: "The competition is a great way to encourage children to participate creatively in the festive season."

Dick Whittington runs from December 1 to January 3 and tickets are available from the Gala Box Office on 0191 332 4041.
