CHILDREN launched a school enterprise week by making products inspired by the Fairtrade movement.
Youngsters at Belmont CE Junior School, in Durham, worked with staff from city jewellery store Lebeado to make necklaces.
Pupils will continue working with the firm on the World’s Largest Necklace project, to help raise the profile of Fairtrade, an ethical shopping initiative.
Ten children are to make jewellery from recycled costume jewellery during their lunch breaks, for sale at the school’s Christmas fair, in December.
