THE Department for Education (DFE) is set to leave Mowden Hall, in Darlington – a move that puts 400 jobs at risk.
Although civil servants are evaluating alternative sites in the town they are also looking at a move to Newcastle.
The Northern Echo believes this is unnecessary as there are several perfectly good alternatives within the town.
Losing 400 jobs would be a terrible blow to the town and a poor way to treat a loyal and efficient workforce.
If you agree please sign the petition below. Completed forms will be presented to the DFE as part of our campaign to keep these jobs in Darlington.
