A PARISH council which hopes to re-open its post office will decide what further action is needed.
Sadberge Parish Council and Sadberge Village Hall Association Management Committee have plans to put a new post office counter in the village hall.
The decision comes after the previous two post-masters, who ran the office from their home, retired in April this year.
The village hall committee has already agreed to the principle of opening a counter in one of the village hall rooms.
It estimated it would cost between £5,000 and £10,000 to set up the counter. A resident is also needed to man the office.
Sadberge Parish Council will discuss the plans when it meets next Tuesday.
The Post Office, which is in the process of shutting thousands of its offices, opened recruitment for a replacement following the announcement the Sadberge office would close.
The parish council meeting takes place in Sadberge Village Hall, following a tour by councillors of the village at 6pm.
