FIRE crews were called to a chip pan fire at a Darlington flat on Tuesday night.
Two fire engines from Darlington Fire Station were called to the upstairs flat at Bardon Moor Road, Firthmoor, at 9.54pm.
A spokesman for the County Durham and Darlington Fire Service, said: "Two appliances from Darlington were called to a chip pan fire and a first floor flat.
Firemen had the flames under control by 10.06pm.
