How shall we spend £30,000?

A MEETING will be held to discuss how £30,000 will be used to improve public transport in a rural village.

The money, which is only available for public transport in Sadberge, near Darlington, was brought to light by councillor Brian Jones, ward member for the area, at last month's full council meeting in Darlington Town Hall.

The money was gained when the borough council sold the land of the former primary school to a housing developer.

A council spokeswoman confirmed the meeting would take place between local councillors and consultants JMP, who are conducting a feasibility study of public transport in the borough.

The best way not to spend the £30,000 would be on another b**** feasibility study seeing we haven't any money down at the town hall. Can't we ever make a decision without spending more on talking than a projects worth.Put a regular bus service on at regular intervals How simple life can be sometimes!

P.S. forgot about the bus shelter in case its raining. The council could also charge the young un's who would use it as a youth club at nights. This way we can all be winners

Maybe spend the money on some meetings and fact-finding tours? But of course remember to go over budget too? Good ol' Darlington council!
