A NEW dance programme for Tees Valley youngsters has been launched.

The Arc centre, in Stockton, Darlington Arts and dance group Dance City have launched Pulse, a scheme that aims to help 200 dancers aged 11 to 19 show their talents in professional venues.

Performances will take place at The Arc and Darlington Arts Centre until April.

Arc chief executive Annabel Turpin said: "It is wonderful to see so many young dancers come together to take part in this celebration of dance. It is a great opportunity for them to perform in local professional performance spaces and we are looking forward to seeing the range of dance styles represented."

The scheme will include a dance event at the Arc from 7.30pm on Saturday, February 11. Tickets are free, on 01642525199 and at arconline.co.uk
