COUNCIL MEETING: Darlington Borough Councils environment scrutiny committee meets at 9.30am on Thursday March 25, in committee room one, at the Town Hall.

COUNTRY WALK: The Darlington CHA and HF walking club will hold a 10.5 mile walk at Middleham in Wensleydale on Sunday March 28. For more details call Bob on 01325 721127. The group features walkers aged 40 to 70.

VILLAGE MEETING: Sadberge Parish Council meets at 6.30pm, on Tuesday, April 13, in Sadberge Village Hall.

ROAD WORKS: Restrictions will be in place on roads across Heighington Village, near Darlington, until May 4 while Northumbrian Water carries out repair works.

COMMUNITY TALKS: North Road Community Partnership holds its next meeting at Northland Methodist Church, North Road, Darlington on April 13 at 6pm.

PATH CLOSED: Sections of pavement at North Road, Salters Lane North and Mayfair Road will be closed over the next two months while Darlington Borough Council repairs pathways. Work begins today (mar22) CIRCUS TOMORROW: The Chinese State Circus acrobat show takes place at Darlington Civic Theatre tomorrow night (Tuesday, March 23) at 7.30pm. Tickets cost between 17 and 24.
