POLICE are hoping to trace witnesses to a two car collision which happened a month ago outside a grocery shop.
The incident happened on February 19, at about 7.50pm, outside the Co-op store in West Auckland Road.
The woman driver of a silver-coloured Mazda six parked in the store car park.
As she returned to the stationary vehicle and was putting her children inside, the car was hit from behind by another car, believed to be a black Vauxhall Astra, as it reversed.
The woman attempted to flag down the Astra driver without success. She was then approached by male who gave her registration details of the black Astra.
Her own car, the Mazda, sustained minor damage in the incident.
PC Jim Edwards is appealing for the man who supplied the vehicle details to come forward, as well as any other witnesses.
He can be contacted at Darlington via the non-emergency number 0345-60-60-365.
