No injuries reported at incident in terrace house in Springfield Road, Darlington

THE front room of a terraced home was severely damaged by a house fire at lunchtime.

Two engines from Darlington and one from Newton Aycliffe fire station were called to the house fire on Springfield Road, Darlington, at 11.51am on Friday.

The occupants of the home were reported to be trapped. Police also attended the incident.

Firefighters used breathing apparatus, hose jets and positive pressure to tackle the incident.

All people were accounted for an no injuries were reported. Firefighters said the front room was severely damaged by the fire.
