A BOY who was trapped in his home was freed by fire crews this morning.

An extension ladder was used to free the child, who was locked inside a property in Ribble Court, in the Skerne Park area of Darlington.

Fire crews were called to the scene at 11.37am, and by 11.46am the boy was freed.
