DARLINGTON Talking Newspaper has won a national award.
The charity was this week named as this year's recipient of the Paul Otten Memorial Award for the best audio recording produced for the visually impaired in the UK.
The award was made by the National Federation of the Blind.
Darlington Talking Newspaper's vice-chair Norma Town collected the award at the National Federation of the Blind's AGM in Torquay.
Darlington Talking Newspaper chairman Paul Greenwood said "I consider this award to be a great honour.
"I am very proud to be associated with such a wonderful team of volunteers.
"It is their hard work and dedication that ensures we constantly produce recordings of the highest quality."
