Police event
THE stars of popular Channel 5 programme, Police Interceptors, will be meeting visitors to Morrisons’ North Road store in Darlington today. Officers will be giving security advice and marking bicycles for free between noon and 3pm, with the Interceptors expected to make an appearance between 1pm and 2pm.
Security plan
DARLINGTON Police have taken extra security measures following a rise in reports of anti-social behaviour near the entrance to the Ingenium Parc development, off Salters Lane, near Yarm Road. Extra fencing has been put up, with more patrols also being coordinated to guard against further incidents. To report suspicious activity, call 101.
Community fair
THE Red Hall Summer Fair will be held tomorrow, offering family entertainment including traditional fun fair and circus experiences. The Friends of Red Hall-organised event between 11am and 5pm will include a DJ, archery, face painting, children’s rides, boxercise and zumba. Stalls and a bouncy castle will also be set up, with refreshments available throughout the day on the green near the community centre. All entertainment is free, excluding rides for £1. Litter pick
