Dog training
A NEW eight-week dog obedience training course, held in the Hurworth Community Centre, will begin on Thursday, September 6, not September 30, as published in The Northern Echo earlier this week. The Skernedale Dog Training Club will host the classes each week from 7pm, followed by a class for more advanced dogs at 8pm. Call Pam Emmerson on 01325-461536.
Coffee morning
A MONTHLY coffee morning with a cake stall and bring and buy stall will return to Haughton Methodist Church on Saturday, August 11. Everyone is welcome to join the event between 10am and 11.30am at the church off Haughton Green, Haughton-le-Skene, Darlington.
Keys found
A SET of vehicle keys were found in the Baydale area of Darlington on Tuesday. They have been handed into Cockerton Police office. Anyone who believes the keys may belong to them should contact the Cockerton Neighbourhood Police Team on 101.
Latest meeting
DARLINGTON Friends of the Earth will hold their next meeting on Monday, August 13 at the Quaker Meeting House from 7pm.
Outhouse fire
TWO fire engines responded to a fire in an outhouse which spread to the adjoining property on Minors Crescent, Darlington, at around 5.30am on Thursday morning. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
