FIREFIGHTERS have released dramatic pictures after fighting a blaze in the early hours of yesterday morning.


A fire broke out in wooden outbuildings near Railway Cottages at Hurworth Moor, near Darlington, just after midnight.


Darlington fire station’s Green Watch tackled the blaze for around two hours.


The cause is not currently known.


A spokesperson for County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service said: "We attended a fire near Railway Cottages at Hurworth Moor (near the football stadium) just after 12.15am on Tuesday morning.


"There were two appliances in attendance and they were tackling the fire for just over two hours.


The spokesperson added: "The fire was in a number of wooden outbuildings."
