Firthmoor live

FIRTHMOOR Live, an annual family-friendly concert, is being held on Saturday, July 21 from midday to 7pm, at the Firthmoor Community Centre in Darlington. A range of live acts will take to an outdoor stage and there will also be bird displays, a table top market, food and drink stalls and tents, and more. Dementia cafe

DARLINGTON’S Railway Museum, Head of Steam, holds its dementia friendly cafe tomorrow from 11am to 12.30pm. Visitors can have a cup of tea, meet museum staff and get the chance to handle objects from the time of the steam railways, with jigsaws and photos also on hand to help with conversation.

Circus event

THE circus comes to town today as Planet Circus pitches near Darlington Arena. The traditional circus, with some modern twists, takes place at various times from today until Sunday. Tasty treats

DARLINGTON Market is bringing the Continental Market to the town today, tomorrow and Thursday. Foods on sale include a variety of award-winning waxed cheese truckles; The Great British Cheese Company, twice winners at The International Cheese Awards; and Spanish Churros, a dessert of fried dough dipped in hot chocolate or sprinkled with sugar.
