THERE will be a full day of fun and entertainment to raise funds for a seriously ill youngster.

Discjofest will take place at Avalon in Darlington from 2pm on July 1 to raise money for Joseph's Dream.

The charity was set up by Joseph Teasdale's grandmother, Mandy Hadland, who hopes to give her grandson the best start in life despite his condition that is so rare, it does not have a name.

There has been a series of fundraising events for the two-year-old – who cannot walk, talk or hear because of the rare condition – in a bid to improve the youngster's quality of life.

This latest fundraiser will see events taking place throughout the day and into the early hours, including body painting, BBQ, disco and much more for young and old alike.

Early bird tickets are priced at £5 and can be collected from Shanie's Barbers in the Indoor Market or the Hole in the Wall Kitchen & Market Tavern, alternatively on the door prices are £7.

For more information about this event and the fundraising efforts you can search for Joseph's Dream on Facebook.
