HELP is needed to clean up a popular beauty spot.

Volunteers are urged to join in the Broken Scar conservation effort, launched as part of a wider initiative to tidy up the Teesdale Way.

Those interested in helping to keep the area enjoyable for all are invited to join representatives from River Tees Rediscovered on Wednesday, April 25.

From 12.15pm until 4pm, the team of volunteers will be working to litter pick, weed and prune bushes and trees at the popular picnic spot.

All equipment will be provided but participants should contact River Tees Rediscovered ahead of the event to let them know of their attendance.

River Tees Rediscovered, an initiative supported by the National Lottery and Groundwork, was established in a bid to connect people with the natural heritage in the Teesside area and protect it for future generations while promoting the Tees Valley's heritage to communities and visitors.
