A HOMELESS dog with a repertoire of moves to show off is looking for a permanent owner to teach him some new tricks.

Two-year-old lurcher Jack is currently staying with foster carers on Dogs Trust Darlington’s Home from Home fostering scheme where he is turning into a “very well-mannered house guest” keen to work for treats.

A Dogs Trust Darlington spokesman said: “He is an extremely bright and very active young man, who is enthusiastic about everything and is doing really well in his foster home.

“He is still a young boy and can get excitable like a ‘Jack in the box’ at times. Jack’s foster family have been teaching him lots of new skills, lovely sits, stays and even a commando crawl are now all part of his repertoire.

“He loves to play with his toys and has a toy box that any dog would be proud to own. Jack really enjoys his walks although can be particular about his canine friends so walking in quiet areas would be best.

“Active owners who are up for lots of exercise and training are top of his wish list.”

More than 100 dogs are currently looking for a home at the Dogs Trust’s Sadberge site.
