THE Majestic Theatre in Darlington has teamed up with national charity Cash for Kids.
On Friday, December 29, the theatre is throwing open its doors for a performance of the pantomime Cinderella with all the tickets given to children and families in the local area who come from disadvantaged backgrounds to make sure they have a Christmas they can truly remember.
Matthew Campbell, artistic director, said: "I was helped by Cash for Kids a few years ago when I did a Community Dance project and I felt that by donating a performance of Cinderella, I would giving something back to the community and to the charity that helped me when I needed it."
Cash for Kids is running its annual Mission Christmas Appeal – the largest annual toy appeal in the UK.
