AN INVESTIGATION is ongoing into a pub brawl involving 30 people that left children and staff shaken.

A fight took place inside The Springfield Hotel in Darlington at around 6pm on Sunday, November 26.

The incident saw children watch as a large group of people became embroiled in violent scenes before some of them fled in a blue BMW 3 Series.

Durham Constabulary is investigating the incident and have appealed to the public for help.

PC Helen Inglis said: “This attack involved a number of people, all of whom carried out the violence whilst children were present.

“The children and staff were understandably shaken by the incident.

“We’d encourage anyone who has any information about the incident to get in touch.”
