YOUNG people are invited to make their views known to a politician hoping to better represent their interests.

Darlington councillor Cyndi Hughes will hold a surgery especially for younger residents of the town on Saturday, October 21.

She aims to lend an ear to anyone wanting to discuss issues or problems while also offering the opportunity for young people to learn more about local government and democracy.

She said: “I look forward to welcoming any young people who may want to come along on Saturday to talk politics, ask for help or assistance or discuss the possibility of shadowing me at the town hall.

“No subject is off limits.”

The surgery will be held at the Dolphin Centre’s Healthy Hub from 11am until noon.
