AN attack in train doorway left a young man with facial injuries recently.
The man, who is in his twenties, was left with chipped teeth and a bruised face after being punched during an altercation on a train on Sunday, October 1.
He had attempted to leave the Trans Pennine Express service at Darlington’s train station when he was attacked. The offender then fled the scene.
The incident happened while the train was stopped at the station at around 7.45pm on a service that originated in Newcastle.
British Transport Police officers have now issued CCTV images of a man they want to speak to in connection with the attack.
They believe has information that could help their investigation and ask anyone who knows who he is to contact them by texting 61016 or calling 0800 405040 quoting reference 510 of 01/10/2017. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
