TICKETS are still available to see a veteran character actor at a North-East film club.

Dudley Sutton will be appearing live at Darlington Film Club in The Forum, Borough Road, next month for a Q&A after a screening of The Boys, one of his early roles released 55 years ago.

The raconteur will answer questions on any of the films he has appeared in over six decades, which include The Devils, The Leatherboys, Football Factory, Cockneys vs Zombies, The Island, and Pink Panther Strikes Again.

Sutton is best known for his role as Tinker Dill in antiques-based TV comedy-drama series Lovejoy. Other TV credits include the Beiderbecke Trilogy, Smiley’s People, The Sweeney, Eastenders, and a memorable appearance in a Christmas episode of Porridge.

The film club’s James Watson said: “Our evenings have proved very popular and I can’t wait to meet Dudley. It’s going to be another great night.”

  • Tickets for the event on Monday, October 2, at 7.30pm are priced £10 available from The Forum 01325-363135 or by visiting Darlington Film Club’s Facebook page.
