INTREPID explorers can put their skills to the test – and maybe win a prize – during this weekend’s Festival of Ingenuity in Darlington.

A series of facts about Darlington have been hidden in the windows of more than 20 shops and businesses in the town centre for the Ingenious Explorer Trail.

Families are being invited to follow the trail and use the clues to answer questions based on the facts on the stickers – some are well known, others less so.

Trail maps will be available from the raised Podium Level at the Feethams Leisure complex from 10am on Saturday.

Festival volunteers will be on hand to explain how the trail works and offer a nudge in the right direction.

Everyone who completes the trail will earn a reward and the chance to be entered into a free draw, with dozens of prizes up for grabs including shopping vouchers.
