ROADWORKS are set to be carried out on five roads at the heart of a North-East town for resurfacing work.
Darlington’s Tubwell Row, Crown Street, Church Row and Feethams will be partially closed during the work period, with Stonebridge set to be shut to traffic entirely.
The temporary closure will be set up in the early hours of Monday, August 21, to run from 12.30am until 6am.
The works being carried out by Darlington Borough Council are then scheduled to continue later that same day for five nights between 7pm and 6am.
Here are the affected routes:
- Tubwell Row will be closed from its junction with Church Row to the end of the road at Stonebridge
- Church Row will operate a one-way system
- Crown Street will be shut from its junction with Tubwell Row and to its crossroads with Priestgate
- Feethams is also set to be closed from Church Row to its Beaumont Street junction
- Stonebridge will be shut completely
Alternative routes will be signed via St Cuthbert’s Way, East Street and Northgate for HGVs only.
