THOSE running projects for the good of the community could benefit from a boost in funding.
Grants of up to £5,000 are being offered by the foundation in a bid to support volunteer-led community groups and charities working across Darlington and the surrounding area.
The County Durham Community Foundation helps to fund a range of activities and projects in the area.
The organisation supports services tackling loneliness in the elderly, health based projects, arts and culture related ventures and initiatives aimed at improving the environment and conserving habitats.
It also supports those with disabilities and provides funding for projects working with children and young people while supporting many other good causes and those providing services in the community.
The foundation will hold a funding surgery on Monday, September 11, with anyone interested in applying for a grant invited to attend and find out more information.
The event will take place from 10am until noon at the Tubwell Row branch of the Darlington Building Society.
