A TEENAGER has been arrested in relation to a drive-by shooting related to an on-going Traveller feud in Darlington.
Armed police descended upon Langdale Road on Saturday, May 6 after an empty car was shot at from a vehicle window.
Durham Constabulary later confirmed that the shooting was connected to feud in the Traveller community that has also involved the theft of skulls from a graveyard, the firebombing of houses and the ramming of vehicles into properties across the town.
Last Saturday – June 3 – a 19-year-old was arrested in Lincolnshire on suspicion of possession of a firearm and criminal damage.
A spokeswoman for Durham Constabulary said the man had been interviewed and released while the investigation continues.
