ALL eyes will be on the skies tomorrow to see the long-awaited take off of the second-annual Skylive Airshow as it returns to Durham Tees Valley Airport.
Deafening airborne and arena-based entertainment will be taking the spring bank holiday to new heights following the success of last year’s event that attracted around 18,000 families, enthusiasts and thrill seekers.
Displays from the Royal Air Force’s Eurofighter Typhoon team and a Battle of Britain Memorial Flight are expected to launch from the airport from 10am.
Action at the event organised by Teesside businessmen Chris Petty and Steve Davies will also include static displays of cockpits, bombers and helicopters, alongside military vehicles.
More than 20 Army and RAF stalls will be set up during the airshow with serving soldiers on hand to perform an equipment capability display.
Tickets can be purchased at the gate for £5.
