TENNIS club members have netted cash for a hospice during a fun tournament.
Members of New Blackwell Tennis Club in Darlington turned out in force for the tournament in memory of former member Ellen Hobbs.
A collection was held and the club matched the total with the result that £200 was raised for St Teresa’s Hospice.
Club chairman Gill Reeves said: “It was one of the best turnouts we’ve had for a fun tournament and it was all for a really good cause.”
The ladies’ winner was Janet Devlin and the men’s winner was Jay Tailor.
